RECIPES

The meat and potatoes of the website, the recipe section offers up simple or more adventurous ways to prepare species of fish commonly referred to as "garbage fish." Why? Because as we actively deplete our waters of marine life, and regulations become more rigid on what we can and cannot keep, it is wise to look for sustainable alternatives. One does not have to look far because they are usually on the end of your hook. These are the fish you've been throwing back forever but they are as delicious as they are ugly and by putting one in the fish box instead of the more traditionally and over pressured species such as flounder, you are helping preserve our fragile marine ecosystem. Don't get us wrong, we kill and eat stuff, but in the interest of self - as well as marine preservation, we realize that if we kill too much of one thing, there won't be anything left to eat. Welcome to the section that answers the question, "can you eat that?"

YES YOU CAN.
